It was so pleasing to see the Empire Hotel regain its full hotel licence in November 2024.  The Empire's licence was cancelled during the COVID lockdowns after trading in Young since the 1880s!  Residents and visitors to Young will now have the chance to visit the Empire once again, now a new licence has been granted complete with on-premises, take-away and gaming privileges.

In October 2024, a new General Bar licence was granted for the Club House Hotel in Warren.  Formerly operating as a full hotel, 'the Clubby' was another victim of the COVID pandemic.  Its new owners will now be able to throw open the doors of the historic Club House, first opened in 1900.  Folks from within the town, those working there and anyone just passing through will again be able to drop into the Clubby for a refreshment and a feed in a true country pub environment.

Pyramid Liquor Licensing has been working closely with Mr Liquor for a number of years.  In that time, a number of new stores have been opened at Ramsgate, Parramatta, Wetherill Park and most recently, in Westfield Blacktown.   

The new store, located on the busy ground floor near supermarkets and other fresh food vendors, is sure to offer convenience to shoppers as they gather their weekly shopping, buy some beers and a bottle of wine, then continue on to the carpark only metres away.

Italian Wine Cellars are recognised name in the fine Italian wine market in Sydney, with their Drummoyne store making its mark into the sector in recent years.  Daniel and Claudio have now opened their newest venture, Italian Wine Cellars in Kings Lane at Darlinghurst.

With their obsession with great Italian wine, masterclasses and their wine club, the new store is bound to be a hit with locals and anyone that enjoys the best of Italian wines.
